Projects

After a week spent in Los Angeles, I arrived in San Diego to present the paper “Mapping for Multi-Source Visualization: Scientific Information Retrieval Service (SIRS)”, written with Matina Halkia from a work carried out with Massimiliano Gusmini at the Joint Research Centre, European Commission in Ispra, Italy.

The Human Computer Interaction 2009 is going to be an amazing experience for me, both as person and as researcher. I hope to have the time to publish some news during the following days.

Last September I attended the Networks of Design conference in England, at the Falmouth College in Cornwall. There we presented the paper and shaked hands with Bruno Latour, a famous French sociologist who opened the conference.

Finally the Networks of Design proceedings are published.

Friends of sketchin have launched a new web magazine named UXmagazine.

With pleasure I acceped to write an article that introduces the reader to the common space shared between information science and Internet.

Bibliotecnomia 2.0 is released with the second number of the magazine. Have a good reading.

I was in Florence on Wednesday for a start-up meeting, which regards a multi-thesaurus management system.

The project should be the continuation of the Thesaurus Tool Code, where JRC, FAO and BGS equally contributed to the development.

The team will be larger, thanks to the introduction of BNCF as users.

Good news will follow soon, I hope.
